Darkmoor Phoenix

Phoenix is by Darkmoor da Vinci, out of Tullymore Lady Margaret.

Maggie underwent major surgery in January 2015 and she was not expected to hold her pregnancy through the stress of the anaesthetic, surgery and recovery. Much to our delight, she remained in foal and delivered us this very special colt.

Bay with four white socks and a beautiful temperament, Phoenix is a very flashy foal and we look forward to watching him grow.

Phoenix has gone to a lovely new home in Yass NSW with Lesley and Bob

Darkmoor Adele

Darkmoor Adele

Adele was a beautiful filly by Archie out of Dainty. She had great legs, expressive movement and an extraordinarily sweet temperament.

Sadly, we lost Adele to a bad bout of colic as a two month old foal.

Darkmoor Versace

Versace is (another!) gorgeous colt out of our mare Wyee Jessica.

Black with four white socks, a wide blaze and great conformation, Versace is a very flashy colt with great potential as a show, riding, harness and breeding horse.

Versace has been purchased by Belleview Shire Horse Stud in QLD, who also own his full brother Armani. We have no doubt he’s got a bright, wonderful future with Belleview.

Darkmoor Elizabeth

Beth

We’re very happy to be able to retain another beautiful filly by Wyee Archer out of Ingleside Emily.

Darkmoor Elizabeth is a full sister to Darkmoor Jazz, who is one of our most successful show horses.

Elizabeth is beautifully conformed and her sweet nature ensures she is a joy to have around.

She’ll be on our show team for the next few years and will go on to join our breeding herd when she’s older.

Darkmoor Sinatra

12095279_1059138464099035_6590158870918119821_o

Sinatra was the first foal born by Darkmoor da Vinci, out of our Clydesdale mare Lexie. He’s a gorgeous black colt with four white socks.

Sinatra has lovely high hocks and beautiful movement. He’s curious, spunky and full of personality, just like his sire.

Sinatra will be gelded and once old enough he’ll make the trip over to WA to be with his new family there. We’ve no doubt he has a bright future ahead of him.

Darkmoor Rembrandt

12370957_1089086177770930_1807322378735482474_oRembrandt is beautiful big, leggy colt who’ll make an excellent riding or harness horse. Being black and with all that bling, he’ll certainly stand out wherever he goes. We know of no other Shire like him in Australia.

Rembrandt absolutely loves people and is always up for a pat. We have no doubt he’ll make his new owners in WA very happy.

Darkmoor Lady Elegance

Darkmoor Lady Elegance

Darkmoor Lady Elegance (Ellie), bred and foaled here at Darkmoor, is our first filly by Wyee Archer out of our beautiful Clydesdale mare Tullymore Leonie.

We’ll be retaining Ellie and have high hopes for her as a future show horse and broodmare.

Darkmoor Jazz

Jazz

Darkmoor Jazz is our second filly by Wyee Archer and the first out of Ingleside Emily, who has produced multiple Sydney Royal Easter Show winners.

Jazz is a very large filly with a beautiful up-headed stance and lovely movement. We’ve decided to retain her for our show team and as a future brood mare.

Darkmoor Armani

Darkmoor ArmaniDarkmoor Armani is another beautiful colt out of our mare Wyee Jessica. Black with four white socks, a wide blaze and very correct conformation, Armani is a striking young colt with great potential as a show, riding, harness and breeding horse.

Armani is now owned by Belleview Shire Horse Stud in QLD.

We have no doubt he’s got a fabulous future there.

Darkmoor Jackson

Jackson

Darkmoor Jackson is a stunning young gelding that has great potential to be a show, riding or harness horse. He’s striking already, with correct conformation and wonderful movement.

Black with four white socks, a wide blaze and stunning blue eyes by Oakridge Speculator (IMP U.K) out of Wyee Jessica.

Jackson is now owned by Belleview Shire Horse Stud in QLD. He’ll be on their show team in the future and we can’t wait to see him out and about.

Darkmoor Danny

Danny was born on 17th October 2012, almost two weeks early. He’s a gorgeous bay colt with four white socks. Darkmoor Danny is out of Tullymore Leonie by Wyee Archer.

Danny is already a very friendly horse and is happy to be cuddled and patted. He is the spitting image of his sire at the same age, so we have high hopes for how he will mature.

* Sadly, we lost Danny to a severe colic attack when he was eight weeks old. He will be sorely missed.

Darkmoor Gizmo

GizmoGizmo was born on the 27th of November 2012.

He is a lovely bay & white tobiano colt by Rosedale Red Sam (a Gypsy Cob Stallion) out of our Clydesdale mare Bella.
He developed a lung infection within 12 hours of being born & it took us three weeks and many vet visits to keep him with us. Much to our delight, Gizmo is now happy, healthy and growing like a weed.

Gizmo has sold to Kylie & Richard in Western Australia.

Darkmoor da Vinci

Darkmoor da Vinci - Black shire StallionDarkmoor da Vinci is black with four white socks, has great conformation, a lovely temperament and excellent bloodlines.

His grandsires are Moorfield Edward, an English Super Premium stallion who is arguably the best stock getter of the past 20 years; and Trelow Father Abraham, another English Super Premium stallion, who was an excellent sire here in Australia as well as in England prior to export.

We have retained da Vinci as our next breeding stallion.

Darkmoor Jester

Cai Thomas 5Jester will always be very special here at Darkmoor – he was our first foal.

He’s a lovely big gelding who performed very well in his first year on the show circuit in 2015. He’s jet black, has four white socks, lovely conformation and a beautiful temperament.

Watching Jester grow has been incredible and he is an absolute joy to have around.

Jester has been started under saddle and we’re now beginning to work on ground driving with him.
