We had a lovely day out at Goulburn Show this year.

da Vinci won the stallion class, then followed up with Reserve Champion Shire. We were delighted with how he responded to being out among quite a few other horses.

We’re absolutely delighted to announce the arrival of our new filly Ingleside Georgina.
Georgie is an exceptionally bred B registry filly, out of Aarunga Gina by Oakridge Speculator (IMP UK).
We took Georgie out to her first show this weekend and she handled the excitement very well. She even came home with a first place ribbon! Georgie will be on our show team for the next few years and will no doubt breed us some beautiful foals in the future.
We look forward to spending some time getting to know her, though it’s already clear she’s a sweetheart!

Sydney Royal 2013 was our first year exhibiting at the Sydney Royal Easter Show – and what an experience it was!
We took Darkmoor da Vinci, our five-month-old colt, along for the ride. Canberra Royal was a fabulous success for Darkmoor Shires, with Darkmoor da Vinci winning the Shire Colt/Stallion class! As is becoming the norm, da Vinci handled what could have been a very stressful situation with ease and grace.
He received incredibly positive remarks from the judge, who commented that da Vinci was, “…a typical foal on the day, but with no obvious faults…particularly impressed with his feet and joints, flat bone and lovely quality hair.” He went on to say that he feels da Vinci has a lot of potential for the future.

Last weekend saw us take da Vinci out to his first show!
Darkmoor da Vinci won his class, secured Reserve Champion Shire and also placed second in the best-presented class.
We were exceptionally pleased with the results – not only did da Vinci place well, he handled the entire situation admirably. To say we are proud would be an understatement.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to our friend Liz Tuddenham, who led him in the ring for us. She did an amazing job of showing da Vinci off and also keeping him settled while waiting between classes.

On the 17th October our Registered Clydesdale mare Tullymore Leonie (Lexie) gave birth to a beautiful colt by our Shire stallion Wyee Archer. We’ve named him Darkmoor Danny. He’s bay with four high white socks and is the spitting image of his sire at the same age.

Her sire, Trelow Father Abraham was the only English Super Premium stallion to call Australia home. Jessica’s dam is also a U.K import, but with much older bloodlines less prevalent here in Australia.
